Graduation Requirements
The Arizona Department of Education and Maya High School require a student to complete the minimum required credits to receive a high school diploma. Students with a Graduating Cohort year of 2012 and below must complete a minimum requirement of 20 credits. Students with a 2013 and 2014 Graduation Cohort will be required to complete a total of 22 credits. All students are also required to pass all three portions of the A.I.M.S state exam to receive a High School Diploma.

Students can choose to complete more than 20 credits and can be concurrently enrolled in a college course program. These credits may be used to determine the student’s GPA.
College or university entry credits may vary according to the school. We suggest students who wish to attend a college or university research the entry or credit requirements to the school of their choice. Students who earn and maintain a 3.0 GPA or above may be considered able to graduate with honors.
