Dress Code
Students are expected to wear clothing that is
appropriate for school. Clothing should be clean,
modest and in appropriate condition. If a student
is determined to be dressed inappropriately, and
proves to be a distraction to others, he/she will be
asked to change clothes. Second offense will be
considered insubordinate. Maya High School
encourages students to take pride in their attire as
it relates to school settings. Students should dress
in a manner that takes into consideration the
educational environment, safety, health, and
welfare of self and others. Students wearing
clothing that is disruptive, proactive, revealing,
profane, vulgar, offensive or obscene, or which
endangers the student or others is prohibited.
For all dress code violations, time out of class
is unexcused. The administration has the right
to prohibit any item of clothing they deem
inappropriate.
