Maya High School students will be off on Monday, January 30th, 2012 due to a Teacher In-Service day. School will resume on Tuesday for all students. Make sure you are on time!
Maya High School is now offering AIMS Workshops for students on Friday's. Students can attend the reading and writing workshops during 1st and 3rd period. Math Workshops are available during 2nd and 4th period on Fridays too. We strongly encourage graduating juniors and seniors to attend these workshops if they have not Passed all three portions of the AIMS Test. For mor Student Council is hosting a Blood Drive tomorrow, January 24th. Student Council representatives recruited many students that will donate their blood for those who need it. Good Job guys! Students at Maya will be off for Fall Break, between October 10th through the October 14th. 2nd Block will begin October 17th. Call the office at (602) 242-3442 for more information. Student Council will host a car wash this Friday, September 30th between 9 am and 12 pm. All proceeds will go towards Student Council activities, which include this years Halloween Dance. Maya High School is hosting an amazing celebration for Mexican Independence Day, today September 14th. Parents and students are invited to attend the celebration, which will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the traditional Ceremony of Shout of Independence let by a member of the Mexican Consul. There will also be amazing music by a Mariachi band and great food! Maya High School will be closed on Friday, September 16th. Last night, Maya's night students were treated to dinner at the Peter Piper Pizza restaurant located on 43rd Ave and Glendale. Students were able to relax and mingle with their friends, teachers and various members of the administration team and front office. The night was a success! Thanks to all who attended. Maya's Night School students are being treated to a special treat this Thursday, September 1st! Starting at 6:00 p.m., all night students are welcomed to meet at the Peter Piper Pizza Restaurant located on the southwest corner of 43rd Ave and Glendale Ave after classes are dismissed. Students are encouraged to bring a friend who is interested in enrolling at Maya High School. Bring a friend and dinner will be on us! Parents and students are welcomed to attend on Thursday, August 25th, 2011. Starting at 5:00 p.m., parents and students can meet our amazing Maya Staff, enjoy a spectacular Art Exhibit featuring student work and much more. Maya will also provide new students and parents the opportunity to enroll that same night, during our OPEN ENROLLMENT hours of 5:00 p.m. to 7:00. New students must come with a parent or legal guardian and bring the required documents for enrollment (see our enroll now page).
